In 2007 the Avigilana shipyard, numer one of all the large shipyards, ontained tje ISO 14001 environmental certification after adoption a numer of significant procedures, including fibreglass infusion tha has become the standar for all buil at te shipyard.

Woods complete with FSC Certification are used in the latest generation yachts. They come from correctly managed forests (scheduled cuttin, replanting of removed trees) and are processed with an eco-compatible process thal also abides by social standards.

Research has led to the design and production of new models capable of attaining noteworthy savings in the fuel. Hybrid propulsion, available on an increasingly growing numbers of models, is another Azimut Yachts project that offers a quiet and clean approach with the sea, has a radically lowered amount emissions, considerable fuel savings and a corresponding increase in range.

AZIMUT GRANDE COLLECTION IS BORN IN VIAREGGIO, around a Mediterranean "piazza" looking onto the marina. Crews of master craftsmen who build the yachts according to the directives that the customer and the Personal Design Equipe establish together work in shifts in the 40, 000 square metres where the works are set up.

The facilities include a painting booth for megayachts up to 60 m in lenght, a 600-ton travel lift, 15 production stations for megayachts, and a private marina that can accommodate up to 40 yachts larger than 80'.
